The Waterfall and Its Setting

From the top lookout, you can see the Kangaroo River plunging in two dramatic tiers into the gorge below. The view stretches over rainforest canopy, sandstone cliffs, and mist rising from the base of the falls.

While it was once possible to scramble down to the swimming spot at the bottom, access has now been closed for safety reasons. The descent was steep, unmarked, and dangerous, with multiple incidents requiring helicopter rescues.
